New French Republic To Elect President
The French Provisional Government has announced plans to elect a National Assembly and a President within the next year, with multiple fresh parties pledging allegiance to various potential candidates. The most notable potential Presidential candidate is François Georges of the National Party, who pledges to restore the nation to its former glory. No other candidates besides him have officially declared, and because of his activism in the Provisional Republic, many estimate his victory to be a substantial landslide.
International Highways Supported by Labour
The Labour Party has shown its support for an Act providing for government funding of roadways and nationwide highways. Unless filibustered, the vote for the resolution is anticipated to take place next week. It will also provide for a Ministry of Roadworks to be established following the end of the Provisional Council and the election of the new President.
